2009 Summit Focus:
Impact of Economic and Financial Literacy on Career Readiness and Citizenship
The purpose of this summit is to bring together educators, business people
and policy makers from diverse backgrounds with common goals:

Raise public awareness
of the need for economic & financial literacy education.

Advocate
the integrating of economic & finance literacy education into existing
curricular standards.

Enhance professional
development of Kansas educators in economic & financial literacy.
-
Promote communication and cooperation.
We hope
that each district will be represented at this very important Summit. This
event will bring together a diverse group to allow for a discussion regarding
the current state of financial and economic education in our schools. These
topics are of great importance considering the current state of our economy and
have a huge impact on the future of Kansas.
